Ella turned 4 this weekend and we had a fun party at My Gym. I put some pictures of the event up right here.

Ran across a good article on the Onion AV Club – 15 Things Kurt Vonnegut Said Better Than Anyone Else Ever Has Or Will. Enjoy…
Ella got a little Tinker Bell toy with a tiny tea set from our neighbor for her birthday. She’s been playing with it a lot and last night one of Tinker Bell’s wings got torn off. This morning when we got up Ella told us that she had put the wing under her pillow in the hope that the tooth fairy would come in the middle of the night and fix it. Very sweet.
Truman has been a very sweet boy lately, playing well by himself and with both Ella and Beck. Today he went to Mary while she was sitting on the couch and rubbed her back just because he though it would feel good.
Ella and Truman have been playing together a lot outside in the backyard lately. These days they can play really well together for hours outside by themselves. One of their favorite games has been to get in their two red cars on the deck and pretend to have accidents. They like it when I come and give them tickets. Truman always throws his in the trash and then I have to put him in jail.
Beck has been great as usual, although he has some kind of bug right and he has a pretty persistent fever. He’s also teething really hard and has his first tooth in and another just about coming in.
Truman’s made some good friends as pre-school and he talks the most about Kylie (?) and Ben. He likes to play on the big trucks and on the slide in the gym. He really likes going and seems to be very comfortable there. Ella also has been having a great time at school and most of the girls in her class will be at her birthday party this weekend, so that should be pretty crazy.
Vonnegut died earlier tonight at the age of 84. I wrote a lengthy post on my other more public blog if you’re interested.
